    edit:

I guess my question is, do you know how much extra weight the J66 can occasionaly handle, if any? And also if I am at that threshold of having too soft a pack, can the shocks be tuned to better control them and still maintain a nice ride?

No, I definitely do not. I was referencing another thread I was reading. Sorry for the confusing statement.

This is my current bump travel. I guess the U402 stage I would work. I just don't want too much lift in the back.

Getting the front and rear axle weight of your truck would halp Accutune further tune the shocks more betterer

5100s and OME 885 coils front, 5100s and AAL for the TSB leaf pack (overload left in) rear. Jeraco camper shell.
What Dakars are you pulling off your truck? I might be interested. I'm slowly seeing that my AAL in the rear might not cut it for the weight I have.

They're medium duty dakars and I have an uninstalled AAL as well to convert them to an HD pack if needed. I also removed one of the two overload leafs recently to drop them down even more. They're only 18 months old but with all the flex I get while wheeling, they're a little tweaked. They still work well but I'm at the point where I want to upgrade. This is why I'm selling them for only $100. My previous pack I sold to @Rome604 as an interim pack, like these, and he still has them on his truck and they're doing well.

Ok, it may be best to email us or private message us to get you pointed in the right direction when you are ready to get the shocks revalved or springs upgraded. We can work with you on revalving those shocks based on which springs you have and the weight of the truck. J66 packs are only gaining about 1" lift with 200lb or so.

This afternoons project was to shorten my rear bumper wings by 1”. Of course I ran out of welding wire halfway through so I had to run to the store, meaning I only got one side done. It came out great though. I’ll trim the bedside to meet up with the tip of the bumper tomorrow.

Thanks, I really took my time on this project today since I wasn’t in any rush. I’m happy with how it came out.
