    Correct.

The CCF will also help insulate the cab better, so the a/c won't have to work as hard in the summer

I decided to not wait, and just get the carpet. As Dave said, that's definitely a large source of the noise. I went through stockinteriors.com, and opted for a beige carpet, like what was in there from the factory. Opted to pay a little extra for more sound deadening on it. About half the cost of OEM and has good reviews. Only downside is I will have to cut my own holes in it for seats and whatnot, but with patience it'll come out nice.

Deal. All the stuff is being delivered Wednesday, so I'll likely pull apart the interior Thursday and see if I can get it all done before this weekend. Or at least the floor and the back wall

It's all a pain in the ass...I helped my dad do one of the cars he is restoring...hence why I haven't done my truck yet.

I really don't look forward to dropping the headliner and trying to maneuver it out of the truck.

I'm lucky in that regard with an access cab. The suicide doors should make getting the headliner out easy.

I did my roof. Made a big difference for the roof rack. I’m sitting on the supplies for my back wall and doors too. This truck gets noisier and noisier the more I do to it.

What I *should* do is be patient and wait until it cools down a little, and set aside an entire day to just totally rip out the interior, deaden the whole thing and add carpet, and put it back together, but that's not the randyfab way. I have a trip this weekend and want as much of this in as I reasonably can get.

So I did some thinking. You have bedliner on the floor, right? That helps a ton. And I didn't know you were putting the carpet back in. Between all that plus the other crap you'll be riding in a Cadillac. May even motivate me to do mine. I hate pulling interiors apart.

Carpet won't be so bad. A long time ago, in another galaxy, I did my first gen Tacoma with the Access Cab. The end result was worth it. And it smells purty.

Your comment about the floor being a large source of the noise was the wake-up call. I knew it but was in denial. This may even motivate me to buy an OEM shifter again. The OEM is two-piece, with a rubber bushing between them to isolate transmission noise. It helps a ton but over time the rubber deteriorates, so my shifter was sloppy. I welded in a solid rod so it's nice and tight, but noisy. There's a joke in there somewhere.

Your level of production during the quarantine makes me feel like a big, fat slug.

AKA I'm just really bored today and I'm spending too much money. Between the carpet, shifter and sound deadener I'm just shy of $600. It should make riding in the truck much more bearable though.
