That sounds incredibly selfish of your wife Good luck getting it finished. Kids seem to add an unreasonable amount of time and complication to any project. 'Was going to refinish the downstairs floors pre-kids, now its probably going to have to be the next homeowner's problem. I'll also never buy a fixer-uper again til they graduate.

 

Some great suggestions on the trail food here. Just speaking from backpacking experience, but greasy trail food, plus trail booze always gives me trail indigestion . May your trail farts be... well, just farts, OP.

Idea. Have you considered just spraying the grass with diesel? Just to tame it a little.
