    I finally found a great visual on why lift doesn't help clear larger tires. Your suspension is still going through the same range of motion with a lift. All you're doing is changing where in that range you rest. That's why to properly fit larger tires on a suspension lift, you have to hammer/cut shit out of the way.

    *these rules don't fully apply to drop bracket and body lifts*

    This explains nicely why I tubbed my firewall for 35s, when almost no one does.

    lol I meant if you properly tub you could. I tubbed my truck which is why I'm getting away with like 1.5" lift in the front. I sit pretty low, which I love. I could throw stock suspension on and still drive around with no rubbing.

    My cousins brothers roommates uncle's neighbor can fit 285s on his tacoma with no lift and he doesn't rub.
