Finally found that annoying af chirping. Found it while replacing the muffler. Manifold bracket is being eaten up by rust and every time I put the truck in gear it starts rubbing against itself hence the chirp. I applied some grease and bang! Chirping gone...I'll probably cut off the bracket at some point.

So yeah, I'm just gonna do headers next year.

 

Where's @RobP62 I figured he'd be hammering away at your shortsightedness since he's convinced #swingout is making its re-debut!

 

The ones with a tail would make it easier to pull out without taking your eyes off the road. Safety First!

 

Speaking of plugs.

 

Just use a brass brush and brush them by hand. Brass will not damage anything harder than it.

 

Interesting read. That copper line so close to the gear looks so damn sketchy. I suppose once it's formed in there the pressure doesn't cause any movement. Still sketchy looking.
