You’re correct that a 7.5” and 9” wheel with 3.5” backspacing aren’t the same, but you don’t need to know the offset to know that. All you need is wheel width and backspacing. Just those two numbers and you can determine how much poke you’ll have and all the other stuff you mentioned. Offset is really only good for calculating backspacing.

a 30” wide wheel with 0 offset compared to a 2” wide wheel with 0 offset. Offset is the same, but scrub radius is obviously very different.

Now if you had a 30” wheel with 15” BS and a 2” wheel with 1” bs, you still know how much wheel is going to be sticking past the hub.

Hopefully that rambling makes sense. There’s more than one way to skin a cat, but I prefer using backspacing because it’s static across all wheels.

I see what you are saying now. Much easier approach. I just try to over complicate everything, lol.

    I also have wheel envy

I’m gonna see if discount will balance them. Pretty sure I have free balances for the life of these tires. Doesn’t say anything about which wheels they’re on.

I just timed myself on the bolts for this third wheel. 40 minutes. 40 fucking minutes, sitting on a bucket, going round and round and round. Beadlocks are not for the weak apparently.

I got 3 out of 4 done and I’m calling it quits for the day since I’ve been at it for 6 hours now. I’ll reattack tomorrow or Thursday to finish it up. Then get them balanced and hopefully get these tires sold.

Dunno, I don’t have any experience with the yoko. Only swapping them around because the yoko’s are smaller than my hankooks, and I’m not gonna downsize.

i also think that they are on stock suspension might turn them off of the 295/70 size lol.

If I was sticking with this size for my next set of tires AND wasn't planning to buy a house i'd snag them as spares lol

    It's a great price honestly

    Two things:
    a. idk anything about beadlocks, but wouldn't a socket attachment on your cordless driver be a lot faster?
    2. you need some more of that vodoo black tire goop in the 5 gal bucket.
