Probably? I’ve just read that the way to do it is no air and no weight on the tires. Remove all pressure off of them so you can properly clamp them down.

In case it wasn’t clear this only applies to beadlocks

Oh yeah I know. I was considering beadlocks but didn't know much about the maintenance of them. For a daily like mine it's probably still unadvisable. Plus the weight is rough.

Well that explains why my fake bolts didn't move. Sheesh.

Absolutely, definitely don’t recommend these for most people now that I own them. They’re heavy af and the maintenance will probably get old after awhile. I plan on torquing before and after a trip and also every 1,000 miles or so.

I'll do....not that. We'll see what happens when they get re torqued every tire change or so.

I may adjust my plan depending on how much the bolts move with each check moving forward. But seeing how crucial these things are the last thing I want is the ring coming off on the highway

Thought about paint penning the bolts to see if they move?

No, that’ll just confuse me more lol even if they don’t move, the bead may squish down more and the bolts will be “looser” without ever moving.

So i spot checked a couple of my wheel bolts and they were tight, then i remembered they are loctited. A friend that helped me with them said they used to do that at his shop when they were used on road and he never ran into an issue. Hopefully it wasnt a mistake.

I did a bit of reading and it seems hit or miss. Only a few folks said they had issues. Most said anti seize or nothing at all. Either way, its done now. Guess i'll figure out if it was good or bad when i need tires.

If a year from now i'm selling really expensive beadlocks with bald tires for really cheap, remember this conversation.

So I drove 20 min to a soccer field to get some sweet drone shots of my lights. Of fucking course the drone needs an update and won’t fly. So this is all I got. I’ll be going back at some point.
