But, we're so glad he did!

 

Took the truck on its shakedown run yesterday at @3pooches and learned a few things that need some attention. For starters, a new banjo bolt for my brake line. I didn’t leave enough slack, bending the bolt and causing it to puke fluid, losing all braking power. Luckily Chris had some parts on hand and it was an easy fix.

I need to also remove the coil and cycle my suspension properly. In order to keep the upper uniball from maxing out under compression, I’ll need to space my bump stops down a little bit. I bought a sheet of UHMW and will cut out some spacers with a hole saw.

Because of that, I can add a little more preload to bring the front up and there’s no concern of bottoming out the coil. I can also put a tire on while doing this and see where else I need to trim.

Overall, a great time and I’m so thankful that I’m working out these tweaks here vs out in the woods.

That same thing happened to me in Matt's driveway with the brakes. It's on a pretty good incline and the brakes just went. It's a freaky feeling...lol


Saw the gram video, smooth as fuck.

 

Yeah it was sketchy. What’s crazy is it happened while I was doing donuts of all things, so at least I wasn’t exactly moving fast. Just pulled the e brake and good to go.

And I know right?! Those 500 lb coils are nuts
