For anyone with BAMF hangers and dakars, trim yo shit before you have to deal with this on the trail.

I know, first I've seen it happen. I don't even remember how we fixed it. Probably lifted the truck up with a hi-lift to hit droop and shoved them back.

By trim you mean remove and install Deavers?

I don't really know a whole lot about leafs, but wouldn't this create a bit of a stress concentration on the top leaf?

Probably. It's just a band-aid fix on an already shitty leaf pack.

If you look at the shackle, you can see the second leaf also gouges the shackle. Dakars like to fan out under droop, which causes all of these issues. The only true correct fix is to get a different leaf pack.

I did notice that too. I guess other leaf packs or hangers don't have that interference issue both on the shackle and with the hanger bind?

When I had archive garage hammer hangers and dakars, I had the shackle gouging issue but not the leaf getting stuck underneath issue. I think that has to do with the front profile of each hanger. The shackle gouging is just a dakar thing. I haven't noticed any issues with my Icon RXT leafs.

    Facts.

It was designed with the Deavers in mind. As Randall said, the Dakars are shitty. It was easy (for me, not saying it's the same for everyone else) to justify the switch.

Makes sense, those other hangers do look to have more clearance on both the shackle and hangers themselves

Don't you run a hitch skid on your daily driver? I thought everyone did.

You're getting it mixed up with Georges's stroller. I have a hitch skid on there.
