Underneath my battery where I tubbed, a crack had started forming. I drilled the ends, welded it shut and added some 14 gauge reinforcement to try and help hold it together. We’ll see how long it lasts.

    Time for some JD inners.
What grease gun do you use? I got a cheap ass one from the parts store and it leaks red and tacky juice all over so I keep it in a plastic bag. It also doesn't clamp onto zerks worth a shit either.

I use a dewalt electric grease gun with a lock n lube tip. Super overkill but it makes staying on top of maintenance easy.

And yeah, this is just to hold me over until I either buy some JD inners or make my own tube front clip and ditch the fenders and core support.

I always said I'd go hog wild with tube if I ever bought a wrecked tacoma to turn into a trail rig or this one gets in a bad accident. I'm still considering making inner supports on the rear fenders to not only provide a 'slider' while looking OEM but to also flare them slightly for the up travel I'll be gaining without the need to go to glass.

EDIT: Looked at the dewalt. Expensive. Might go with the Ryobi since I already got batteries.

More beef thanks to archive. I’ll have my stock shackles with poly bushings for sale in the next few days for cheap if anyone is interested.

Do you remember when you ordered? Mine should be close now. Would really love to have the rear done by URE but not really sure that's going to happen.

Ahh, gotcha. He does like to ship everything at once so I bet it’s one or two things that are holding you up.

Eric has been unbelievably busy with orders. He us a small shop compared to a lot of other guys but as we all know he makes quality stuff because of that. I waited 12+ weeks for my hangers, shackles, and curved crossbar to come in. Well worth the wait. They all went on two weeks ago. And Randy, that advise on getting a ball joint press was absolutely incredible.....it saved us about 2+ hours of work. Got them on in about 3 1/2 hours.

That’s fantastic to hear, 3.5 hours isn’t too bad at all.

Yeah, I am not sweating the timeline. So many other projects going on that it isn't even noticeable.
