@EatSleepTacos - randy my apologies, but my eyes are f''ed from my diabetes so I am having a hard time finding it in the thread.......can you post the link to your supplier for hubs/wheel bearings again please.

This really sucks...I can't read well or see the broad side of a barn now. Always had perfect vision before...

That’s shitty, I didn’t know that was something that could happen.

    Thank you sir!

Unfortunately it is. Always have had 20 20 vision. The other day my sugar spiked to over 400 cuz my Dr is still trying to figure out the right insulin dose and bam, blurry vision. Had to borrow a pair of reading glasses from my dad so I cam somewhat read until I can get I'm to the ophthalmologist. From what I read, high sugar levels can cause swelling in a part of the eye, which causes change I'm vision, but it can reverse if the swelling goes away. I am hoping that is what is happening and it isn't permanent. But if it is, I get contacts and move on with life.

One or two things modded... Check out the build thread
Not to get in to your business, but you need to get in to an ophthalmologist, not an optometrist. It sounds like you may have the beginnings of diabetic retinopathy. Which can lead to other diseases and complications like glaucoma and macular degeneration.

Not trying to scare you or anything, but what is going on is in the eye and not in front of the eye... hence the need for an ophthalmologist. They focus on changes and such inside they eye.

Yeah. It has to be an MD that can dilate my eyes to be able to see what is going on inside. I am scheduling an appt first thing tomorrow. Now that I have been diagnosed with diabetes, my health insurance will cover one visit to an ophthalmologist per year. Which should cover me until I can add vision insurance during next year's open enrollment.

Thank you! Trying to stay positive, but it is safe to say covid has permanently altered my life.

Does this offer still stand? Probably ordering a pair in the near future. Both sides are howling pretty bad at freeway speeds.

Got good news at the eye dr yesterday. In his words my eyes look fantastic! He saw no signs of diabetes in my eyes. He said the blurry vision is due to the rapid change in my blood sugar levels. Causes a pathway and fluid pumps to go crazy and cause swelling. He said as my levels stabilize, my vision should return to normal.. He said he could sell me an expensive set of glasses. But my vision will likely change up to daily for the next few months. He recommended I go get some OTC reading glasses in several different powers. Each morning look out the window and try each set to find the one that gives me the best vision for the day. That way I can adjust as my vision changes. He wanted to see me back in three months for follow up. He said my vision should have returned by then. If so. He will just take another look to make sure there are no changes. High five me, and see me in a year.

Yes, finally! I have had enough bad news the last four weeks. My wife was nice enough to stop at Walmart and get me about 4 different powers of readers. I can finally see and read text again! I did end up back at the dr yesterday though because I started running a fever. Turns out it was from an infection on my leg. They drained the wound and put me on two antibiotics and am feeling much better this morning. I am such a medical mess. I guess that is what you get after you treat your body like crap for years.

Fun fact, except for one occasion, these have always been used on other peoples vehicles. Selling them to fund more RC debauchery.
