Yeah. I stumbled across the thread last week. Anyone say what happened? Seemed very sudden.

 

The writing on the wall is suicide. No one has outright said it, but his brother posted in the thread and said something to the affect of reach out and talk to someone if you are struggling, he wished Rick would have.

When this happened on my Grand Am it was the resistor.

Did you lose all fan speeds? I just am not sure the resistor is my issue as it should work on HI still even if it were a problem.

 

yep. Pulled the resistor out, which looks like a small circuit board, and it definitely got warm at some point.
