Never explored the bar options around the Quantico area so I can't speak on that front.

I would sand it down in its entirety to match the number you did on the hood

 

Added GMRS comms to the tundy. I went with this bundle and installed it in the center console. Shortened up the power lead to grab power from the power outlet that I never use. I had considered the MXT275 where all of the controls are in the mic but I don't see that being necessary because I never adjust anything other than volume and I wanted a lighter mic in my hand. All that's left is to route the antenna cable.
