Thanks Josh. Yea, I just recommended a HF winch to a guy the other day. I have seen a vid of them lifting a jeep with one. As long as it has the features I need, I am good with them.

What sold me was the guy lifting his 4R into the air with it. I figured if it can do that, it can pull my truck along the ground.

Look at the Ironman 4x4 winch. Price is about the same, but I went with it based off a few features over the Harbor Freight or Smittybilt. Of course, either of those winches may have these features, but I never saw mention..

The solenoid box comes ready to remotely locate. As a matter of fact (as I discovered), if you want to mount it on the winch, you'll have to fabricate something. I like that the unit claims to be fully submersible and comes with a breather to mount above the water line. The clutch end is also clockable so you can put the release in a convenient place. And they mention military. That alone is worth the purchase.

Too bad I don't have $600 laying around. However, a bumper to hang it off of first would be nice too.

Speaking of steering pump, it arrived today. Stoked for the finished product, less stoked for the install.

No, this is for Betty. It should make moving those big meats around a bit easier.

I’m seriously dreading the install. Plus I have poly bushings to swap into the rack which is another pain in the ass job on top of it. This will easily be a couple days work.

I’m hoping it’s as drastic of a change as I’m expecting. The howe pump is pretty hyped up.

Surprised you're not fabbing up something from PSC.

I did some poking around but this is the safest route. It includes absolutely everything I need and is known to work and work well, which is why I went with it. Just parts alone is like $900-$1000 plus the brackets and one of the fittings is custom made, hence the premium price.

Well good luck, sir. Things could be worse. You could own a Jeep product.
