Wasn't it you that posted the bronze rack? I loved that and it would go well with your rims.

I may have posted it, but that was a LT rear cage for the shocks

Could try it first and worst case you just spray some black over it.

I was debating making it sit flush with the walls, but I want to be able to easily remove it if needed. It'll only be 2 parts when it's done. The drawer, and the body. It's only a 2-3" gap on the sides, so I just won't put anything skinny on the edges.

And this sweet platform! This wood was surprisingly expensive. Two 2x12"x16' was $60 and two sheets of plywood for $50, and that was the cheaper plywood :annoyed: I'm super excited about all the other stuff too! I already forgot about the winch....

So what will be the next round of mods after the RTT, rack & platform?

Next one will be wiring up lights on the roof rack! I've got 4 spot lights that'll go on all 4 corners, and will be handy when camping and also backing up in the dark.

Yeah that won't be a problem. Might do one like yours and use the back compartment for regular storage space instead of a tire. That way I won't have two bed length drawers to deal with. Kind of want to make one drawer to slide out and have a kitchen setup but I doubt I'll get that crazy.

What I like about this drawer depth is that I can pull it out completely, and just have it rest on the tailgate, eliminating the need for slides, since those are expensive. I may get some plexiglass or similar plastic for the bottom of the drawer so it slides even easier.

You could always be on the lookout for some slides off an old desk or something instead of buying new.

    Don't be silly David
The problem is slides that can support this kind of weight. The drawer alone is 25-30lbs, and with tools well over 100. There are slides out there, but they're about $160. That's more than I want to spend right now.

Hopefully it moves when I put it back together. At 180k the accumulator bore is quite worn and scored. Hopefully the $13 shift kit will fix her up

That looks like a puzzle for little kids or something. That's crazy!
