About the time you guys will be on the move again, I will be able to retire (makes me sound old, but I will have my 20 years of LEO completed at only 41.5 years old). Then I plan to work another 20-25 years in the private sector making real money. Use my pension as dedicated savings or play money.

Update on the SxS. Sold it today. Got more out of it than I paid for it 4 years ago. Covid has made the used market so crazy!

 

Not yet! Been listed for 11 days now. I’ve had a couple of serious people but nothings panned out yet. One guy is in CO and is waiting to sell his truck and will buy mine once it’s gone. Another is out of the area but will return 3/1 and wants to buy it.

 

That's good! I hate selling things! Having to sell the SxS reminded me just how bad. Probably part of the reason I hang on to things forever, even if i am not using them. Luckily it only took 5 days...and it sold for just under our asking price. Had to deal with some real dbs though. All they wanted to do is complain about the price and tell me I was wrong for listing it where I did. If anybody in this current market thinks they are going to pay anywhere near NADA value or under on things, they must have hit their head in the shower...hard...this market is crazy. When I bought the Tundra, they pretty much laughed at me when I tried to negotiate...eventually got a full tank of gas (decent amount cuz gas was 4.75 p/g at the time, and about 500 bucks off and that was it.

I just don't get it. If I am shopping for something and see an ad listed for something for more than I am willing to pay, I move on. I don't text them to argue and try to tell them how stupid they are. I thought my wife was gonna get into a fist fight with one of the guys that showed up on Monday. It was ugly...reminds me, I need to go see if I can pull it off the dash cam.

 

I just listed a vehicle for sale and I look forward to all of this fun.

 

That's a quick sale! Nice work. I bet I would have an easier time selling betty white out there but I also don't think I would be able to get as much money because the market is saturated with cool offroad trucks.

 

Didn’t mean to keep you guys waiting for updates on my build thread. This is how she currently sits as of Monday. I am moving on to ball joints & then interior. The paint/body appointment has been set & she should be going in mid April for a fresh coat of patriot blue.

 

I was hoping for blurple.

 

My wife and I busted our butts this week (since selling the SxS) and filled both the trash can and recycle can to the brim, but Shadow finally fits in the garage!!!!

 

That is gonna look slick!! Is the patriot blue a brightish blue??
