You passed the test! But so I make sure you know what you’re talking about, tell me why you think that? I mean I totally know, but I’m testing you.

You do garage doors? I didn’t know that.

But the switch above has nothing to do with the interference as the lights caused interference at the last house’s garage without being on that switch.

Costco has some pretty legit ones...10000 lumen, but they will cost you 60 a piece...

No sir. I do all electrical and specialize in lighting and industrial automation.

It's the "driver" of the LED's being inefficient and causing an electrical interference with the (most likely) RF frequency of your garage door receiver. You might be able to mitigate this by putting it on a separate circuit, but likely you will always receive interference as long as you use those fixtures. As they likely have no "insulation" to prevent the interference from happening.

It is similar to what happens when a VFD is added and not installed with an isolation transformer to help "clean" the signal and eliminate "backfeed".

It is actually WAY more in depth than that, but I gave you the 50,000' approach as I doubt folks want to get that deep into the weeds on something like this.

Ohhh ok I get what you’re saying now. I thought you meant the light switch I’m currently using was the cause if interference which confused me. I’m curious if higher end light fixtures would also cause problems, I’m guessing no.

If they do, they are not actually higher end....

It is a shame we didn't discuss this before you left. I could have hooked you up with proper lighting.

I am running 4 UFO style high bays for my main lighting in my garage and have roughly 126,000 lumens going for just the main area. Then I have additional strips going around the perimeter for when I do detailing to help give contrast light that speeds up swirl finding.

Goddamn! That’s some impressive output. Could probably do surgery in there.

Well... there are no shadows in the parking area because each light provides 60% overlap of the other three... I don't tend to mess around with my lighting needs.

Another quality of life mod @Justanotherhemi

No homelink in this poor spec SR5 and I dislike garage door openers on window visors, so I repeated what I did in Betty white. I took a momentary switch meant for the truck and wired it into the garage door opener and shoved it behind the dash. All that’s needed is to solder two wires onto the remote, so you’re completing the circuit with your new button versus the button on the opener itself.

Excuse the potato pics, they’re screenshots of my IG story.

I then put it back into the garage door remote case, wrapped it in tape and shoved it behind the center console.

Your definition of “quality of life” is distorted. Other than that your garage door opener button for a button mod looks ok.

My wife got a brand new 2021 corolla back in 2020. We just paid it off last month.

At the time it was cheaper to buy new than it was used. It's a little piece of JDM with a J vin.

If you still used wired CarPlay, just unfriend me now because wireless CarPlay is a game changer.

That’s it, I’m not coming to cinders anymore.

I think that’s even worse because it’s an android.
