I miss the Op that told us Betty was going to be a mild, not too crazy, budget build...

When OP put on LT and made me jelly of the flexy front....

1/2 doors with the golf cart mirrors! That op was a solid one

That op promised us a “budget camping truck” build. I guess we never asked what his budget would be

This is a solid choice for OP.

Never forget the Op that removed the carpet, rhino lined the floorboards using diarrhea beige coloring, only to complain of road noise later & reinstall a new carpet.

Just wanted to shout out where credit is due, OP gave serious inspiration and some blood, sweat, and tears into my build. Betty may be gone but her offspring are still out here!

Wow, what a well built rig. Would be crazy to see it for sale in another 49 posts.

I cannot confirm nor deny that there’s a possibility of this. Time will tell in 48 I guess

Has anyone other than the OP made the FJ transfer case swap? Looking to see how everyone’s experience was with that before I cut a whole in floor. Love the idea of bypassing the electronics in this equation and having 4WD on the fly.

I was actually the very first person to ever make the swap. I know, I’m such a pioneer.

Any hiccups since the install or has it been gravy ever since? How’d the drive-ability change for you?

Zero hiccups so far... been installed for right at 4 years.

My truck isn't a daily, not built as one either. So I expect it to be loud and drive better off road than on the road. With that said, a transfer case swap has zero influence on drive ability in my opinion.

Spending the day on the range today. My dept has made the switch to an optic equipped duty weapon. So they are paying me to make a bunch of brass and get familiar with the optic!...The optics are so sweet!...instantly made me a better shot!
    I highly recommend!

RDS Pistols are the bee's knees once you get good at acquiring the dot. I was an iron sights holdout for the longest while, then once getting good with the RDS on my M17, I never want to go back. Shooting irons on the M9 feels like going back in time now.

It definitely took a tweak to my draw stroke to pick up the dot more easily, but once I figured it out, picking up the dot got much easier! Part of our qualification requires we turn off the optic and shoot the iron sights...it felt so weird after shooting the dot all day!
