Did a quick solo ride this morning. It was my first time riding alone and I was a bit nervous at first but just took it easy and trusted my abilities and didn’t have any issues. Covered 15 miles in a little over an hour.

If you owned a Ford Ranger you could have gone for 30. Just saying

Eh. I had it a few months ago. Symptoms showed up on a Monday, I took a test (positive) on Thursday, symptoms gone by Saturday, negative test on Sunday.

Don’t try to use logic with this thing.
Nice rig. I’m still sightly salty you sold that badass Tundra, but the Runner looks good.

I miss the tundra all the time. It was clean, sounded great and had a banging sound system. Just wasn’t that practical as a daily driver.

I sympathize there. That’s why I refused to even look at a Tundra. Although, if we’re being honest, a 4Runner/Tacoma is still not the best daily driver. Large-ish, cumbersome, shitty mpg’s… yet here we all are lol

Oh absolutely. I easily could have accomplished the same thing with something more practical like a highlander (midsize suv capable of carrying a dirtbike) but still wanted that cool factor. This is a nice middle ground.

Since Betty White got sold, I propose a naming contest for the new not a build.
I love my truck, but a Rav4 is on my short list as my next vehicle for this reason. Esp after seeing where my sister takes hers in pursuit of PNW hikes/rock climbs/etc.

I really like the RAV4’s but they’re just a smidge too small for car seats and a big ass dog.

Eh. RAV4’s are nice, but too far in between for my liking. Paying near luxury car money for a decently cladded economy car.

I know you lose off road “capability,” but I would rather be in a certified Lexus SUV for that kind of money.

Fun fact, the rav4 prime is Toyotas second fastest production vehicle, only behind the V6 optioned Supra. In terms of 0-60 times, anyways.

Funny enough, I was thinking about you the other week because we hadn’t crossed paths in awhile, I hope all is well. Insane that yours only has 40k miles, mines a ‘17 and about to roll over 100k.

EVs are really changing the game. Was just listening to a Doug Demuro interview on the Acquired podcast and his argument that EVs are democratizing speed is a good one. Now basically everyone has access to former 'hypercar" 0-60 times, so now how do we separate the Ferraris from the Teslas?
