Anyone have any experience with Wildpeaks or Ridge Grapplers? I think these are the two tires I have narrowed it down to. Gonna go with 295/70/18's as I should be able to pull them off with my 2" level kit I already have installed without any rubbing or trimming required.

With how much snow you get, I would run wild peaks. I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about them. I’ve heard mixed things about ridge grapplers in snow and rain.

Maybe a good idea. I have zero off-road or snow experience with them. They were fine on-road. I actually liked them in that instance.

Speaking of snow....this morning is $hitty! Had to push cars in the drop off line at the school because people don't know how to drive....more throttle is not the answer....

@Gunshot-6A - I bet you don't miss driving through mornings like this!

I have had both. My falkens warped & wore funny. My ridge graps were load rate F & worn evenly for 65k miles. Sold with still another 10k of thread life left on them

@Gunshot-6A is driving a Ford Maverick paying $6/g gas. Im sure he misses the taste of freedom Utah had to offer

Nah, the Ford was a little too adventurous for me, so had to go back to the Tacoma. Thankfully gas has remained at a much more reasonable 5.49/gal at summer peak.

In terms of the slightly dusty and cottony mouthfeel of Utah, I do miss it. I also miss having a garage, and a flagpole to generate much needed Friday posts from ne'erdowells in Texas to comment about sporadically. ;)

I miss having a garage too...which is really sad...because I have a 3 car one so full of crap I can't use it right now...

Sounds to me like you weren’t built for the “Ford Tough” life. Im slightly disappointed in you.

In some neighborhoods if you leave the garage doors open the community comes together & they clean them out for you while you rest/sleep!

Norris started making a weird grinding/rotational metal on metal noise this last week. I could easily replicate it any time I downshifted and put more torque on the driveshaft and could clearly hear it was coming from mid truck, not transmission/transfer case or engine area. Crawled under it today expecting to find my carrier bearing grenaded. But, found this instead...

    I love simple fixes!
