Good question! I'll figure that out soon enough. The handheld I'm getting only puts out 5 watts, so with my antenna, maybe a couple miles in the type of terrain I'll be at. That's wayyyy better than my CB though.

Thats sounds good! But I thought you could get further lol like, as far as Canada is  i've been good a few tome to reach +- 5 miles with my cb on the highway. I was happy with it tho!
And you have to call your Km's to those logging trucks! Those guys drive fast and don't stop when loaded! I'ce experienced it a few times and I was glad to have a Cb!

Oh you can definitely get farther with other set ups! I'm talking handheld unit to unit, a couple miles. With a more permanent car set up that outputs 50 watts, even more. Then you can hit repeaters and literally talk to people in space or around the world if you know what you're doing.

yeah the logging road I go on up there aren't really used too often, now and then you pass a couple on ur way into the bush, but its their road so I always pull over to complete stop to let them go by. I'm always paranoid about my windshield when they are cruising by haha windshields don't last long on those roads hahaha

Had to blow off some steam after work. Took a back road, ended up here....above one of the world's largest open pit mines

It was! Got to exercise my 4wd and escaped the heat too. When I started at the base of the canyon it was 87 degrees. Up on top it was 66 degrees with a stiff wind that actually made it a bit chilly.

I have read a lot of good things about the A119. The video quality is unmatched by any of the 2 ch outfits on the market. The one review I watched actually recommended just running two of these rather than spending the money for an inferior 2 ch system. Does it have a parking mode? The F770 I am looking at is the best video quality available in a 2 ch system with a parking mode, but it is $$$ at about $400 for the 2 ch system. :frusty:

I want to say it does, but I never wired it for it. The video quality is pretty good, and that's what recorded this asshole. Keep in mind the sun was shining into the lens hence the kinda shitty quality.

That'd look awesome, but I don't think I could lose the bed space for a side toolbox. In your case though with the swingout, that'd be kinda nice to have everything right there.

I remeber that video! What a moron!

I might need to do some more looking at the A119 then. Most cams have to be hardwired to get the parking mode feature.
