Interesting! but HU are so pricy! but getting tired of my stock one shutting off by itself every now and then...

In my SR5 I have speakers in the doors, tweeters too, and tweeters in the ceiling over the rear "passengers" seats, if we can call it seats lol

in the half doors? like over the storage bin?

 

Yeah! My rear little half doors have speakers in them. They actually sound pretty decent.

 

that is cool actually! IMO the stock sound system sounds good. With 2 more speakers in the back it can't be nothing but better!

Yes, exactly! After adding the Bluetooth kit, I'm overall very happy with it. The only reason I plan on upgrading is for a back up camera.

 

I believe I saw the backup camera wiring under the head console when I did my map light on with dome light mod. if you do have it too you could get yourself a rearview mirror with the camera screen in? may be less expensive than a whole HU

 

Did they even make a vr headset for the iphony??

I don't think backup cams were even a thing back in 05! My truck is very basic, as in no TPMS, no traction control, etc.
