Afternoon Lair! Been working in my basement this morning. Have all the outlet and switch boxes roughed in in every room except the family room. Just need to finish the outlets and mount can lights and ceiling boxes, and then start pulling wires.

Put some grease on my UCAs today because I heard you needed to grease the hell out of LRs but after I noticed some grease and apparently I have a cut or hole in the boot holding the ball joint.

Yeah I’m gonna keep an eye on it and see if it stops and see if a little silicone will hold it in. Don’t want to buy new ball joints because these are pretty much brand new.

And I think any aftermarket uca needs to be greased like hell but I’ve read that LRs definitely need it at first.

Now that I’m thinking because if it stops it’s probably all out of grease.

Some ball joints have a hole in the boot for excess grease may not be the case with the lr’s you may also be able to buy just a boot instead of a ball joint.

I may have just put too much into it and it’s coming out. Just have to keep an eye on it and listen for any ‘clunks’.

Is your zerk fitting on the side of the boot? Mine is on top, I just installed mine this past May so they are new. Something seems odd to me. I know LR changed their setup not long ago so that's a possibility.

Mine is on top. I bought them on TW but they were new. I think I may have just added too much grease.

Gotcha, think I'm going to check mine soon. See how they look, manual says add grease at oil changes.

This that and the other thing.
noticed this today while under the hood. looks like my valve cover gasket is developing a minor leak by the oil dip stick. I cleaned it and will keep an eye on it. might be a next summer project haha
