But I agree with him! Think I’ll hang on to my 2022 v6 as long as the northeast weather allows before claiming it

Here is Scotty’s YouTube channel. He generally likes older Toyotas. In one video he says his wife drives a 20 year old Lexus.

Ain't skeeert either - he's had several auto companies throw lawsuits at him and he's like sure
see you in court - I'll have my evidence backing up what I say - and the auto companies just
    slink away.... LOL

The dude is dope - and oh by the way - he swears by 5k oil changes....

And I concur with his advice on the 2024... no way would I have one -
My 2021 is just fine, and I hope to drive it till I can't drive anymore.

The 4.slow came down from Mt Olympus and graced the 2nd gen owners with nothing but joy , happiness and an immense need to stop the 3rd gen section and shit on every other thread claiming vast superiority of a near identical engine.

I mean if the x runner concept is put to production with the turbo v6 off the tundra I wouldn’t be suprimes if down the road they offer that engine in later production tacos.

I like him, not because what he's selling, it's because people watch his clickbait videos then get pissed off, then come back for more.

No way that guy was getting close to 30mpg like Scotty says in this video. From my own experience, and what I've heard from others, 20 on the highway is the absolute max, and that's with driving <65 mph. Usually, I'm averaging 17-18 on the highway.

I think point this matters because it's one of the main potential advantages of the new turbo 4cil. IF Toyota is able to consistently achieve 25+ mph, then that's a significant difference for a lot of people. It puts this truck more in line with modern midsized SUVs/trucks. I also think that the power and driving dynamics of the new engine could feel better in most situations. Still, the iForceMax in the new Tundra has been disappointing compared with the old V8, so I'm not holding my breath, nor am I planning to sell my 2017 OR MT anytime soon.

I made a 300 mile round trip last weekend and going there I went 75mph. Tacoma SR with the 245/whatever tires. Averaged about 19mpg. On my way back I averaged 65 just to see the difference. 23mpg… so sounds to me like once you hit 70ish you lose all fuel efficiency
