A mere pittance. Monies spent on therapeutic activities which feed the sole are monies well spent! :amen:

What I did on my summer vacation. By Dan.

Yosemite is what I did! And I got pictures to prove it!

    DAY 1, Monday
Arrived in Tuolumne Meadows, hooked up with my friends, and set up camp.
    Mon 1.HEIC.jpg

Lori and I put in on Tenaya Lake and paddled all over that lake!
    Mon 2.HEIC.jpg
    Mon 3.HEIC.jpg

Lori painted a picture of me in my kayak! How cool is that!!
    Mon 4.HEIC.jpg

    DAY 2, Tuesday
Seven hikers strong, we headed up Rafferty Creek to explore and discover. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed the day!
    Tues 1.HEIC.jpg
    Tues 3.HEIC.jpg
    Tues 2.HEIC.jpg

    DAY 3, Wednesday.
On Wednesday I struck out on my own and drove down to Yosemite Valley. I found the Valley to be quiet and unpopulated. I came across three bears, but got lousy pictures...
It was hot at 99° so I headed back up to the high country.
    Wed 1.jpg
    Half Dome.
    Wed 2.HEIC.jpg
    The Captain.
    Wed 3.HEIC.jpg

    DAY 4, Thursday.
We found ourselves back on the water Thursday with warm temp's and nice breezes.
    Thurs 1.HEIC.jpg
Anne Marie attempting to take advantage of the breeze.
    Thurs 2.HEIC.jpg
Brad and Steve made a formidable team and out-paddled everybody on the lake!
    Thurs 3.HEIC.jpg

    DAY 5, Friday.
It had rained Thursday night and we enjoyed unsettled weather Friday morn. A group of us hiked down the Tuolumne River and had the whole area to ourselves.
    Fri 1.HEIC.jpg
    Fri 2.HEIC.jpg
    Fr1 3.HEIC.jpg

Yosemite is a special place and I am already wanting to return! :)

    Well piss.

TW apparently has a 20MB download limit. My time lapse over Tuolumne Meadows is a no-go. I put it up on YouTube so I could share it.
Friday morning found a group of us sharing morning coffee on Lembert Dome.
I monkeyed around with the Time Lapse feature and produced the following...

Yes it is. Do you think the reservation system is helping make it feel a little less crowded?

I do think that the reservation system is thinning the crowds. Through traffic is largely reduced as reservations are needed to enter the park.
I was very surprised to see light visitation in The Valley. Almost shocked. I surely enjoyed it, though! I understand a seven day annual maximum stay limit is in play for any and all Valley camp sites. That alone will help thin the crowds.
