Has anyone else seen the ss3’s on eBay supposedly being sold by diode for around 50 bucks cheaper than their retail site? Is that legit or do I run the risk of getting a knock off?

Have a link? Maybe the vendor is still running the 20% off sale. I highly doubt the Chinese have managed to copy the design, put it into production and offer a knock off for resale within a month.

I had the KC G4 Amber SAE fog lights and was not impressed with the intensity as compared to the Rigid 360 and D2 SAE fogs. My eyes could not tell if they were on at times.

Got my mount kits from Rigid for the 360 fogs lights and it looks like I'm going to have to file some of the plastic housing to make the plastic light adjustment screw fit in and lock. Both sides seem to be pretty far off (for how small the clearances are). I may have to shave off about half a mm somewhere. Quite a PITA for something this expensive. Hopefully it's just mine, and not everyone's.

Can you zoom out a little so we can get oriented? I had no issues with my kit other than a seemingly unnecessary tab on the h11 plugs.

I see now. Once I started threading the screw into the square nut attached to the pivot bracket mine locked in. Yours might be slightly off. Might just be a manufacturing defect like you said. I'd assemble everything and see if it locks in.

After using the adjustment screw and leveling my lights, I'd say do what you need to do to get the post locked in. If you don't, you run the risk of the light moving over rough terrain. Good luck.

On another note, do your h11 plugs have this tab on the bottom?

Yeah I've assembled and disassembled them 2 or 3 times and tried a few things to pop them out, but no luck. Just wanted to let others know in case. I do also have a tab like yours shows. Not quite plug and play for $600.

That tab on the H11 plug is likely there so you can flip it around to reverse polarity if needed

Alright!!!! Haven’t been here for about a month. What changed? Lol

Whats the consensus Pro Vs Sports for daily driving fog ON? Sale still going on? I read somewhere the fog wiggles in the mount, is that accurate?

The plug really can't be flipped. There is a post inside the socket which forces it to be installed in only one way. Polarity needs to be checked prior to assembling the plug. Either the male or female ends of the plug could be modified but why do that when you already have to assemble the male end with the kit. It was easy enough to chop off the tab, just seemed odd. I'm sure there were plenty of different H11 plugs for them to include as part of the kit. They just sourced one with an unnecessary tab. :notsure:

I’ve been daily-ing ss3 pro yellow fogs for a few weeks now and absolutely love them. Planning on picking up some ss3 pro floods to fill the other 2 holes in my bumper.

A few mods here and there and counting....
Removed the @Baja Designs post fix sae yellows in favor of @Diode Dynamics SS3 sae pro in yellow.....world of difference. Being as they're mounted in a plate bumper, much easier to dial in the adjustment. Mated well with my D2S retrofits.
