Well, that’s not what I wanted to hear but I understand. Thanks Paul!

Are the brackets not made in the USA?

While there isn't a "hard line" as to what "Made in USA" requires that I'm aware of, the general guidance is that at least 75% of the components need to be made in the United States and the product's last substantial transformation needs to occur in the United States. The "Made in USA" phrase, or its implication, is monitored by the FTC. "Assembled in USA" is a different category which, "Made in Asia & assembled here" might fall into, if that involved a substantial transformation of the product and its value.

For most products with any significant complexity, you can't have it 100% made in the United States. Semiconductors and screws are two of the part categories that just don't have any full-range suppliers in the United States. Automotive bulbs are another; just try to find a US-made, sealed-beam headlamp (not to mention that the best bulbs continue to be either European of Japanese).

Finally installed the second SS3 selective yellow Pro fog so I’m not running mismatched fogs anymore.

It's about time. We were getting concerned about you running in circles every time you turned your fogs on!

I’m curious how that hood glare is in heavy rain, snow, or dust

No ditch light is great in inclement weather. I'll switch to white in the summer but for now, the yellow is good for clearish nights with snow/rock on the road.

For ditch lights you'd be better with the Sports vs Pros, as the Sports will have less hood glare due to better focus.

Sorry, typo. Meant “hood” glare. Yellow is da bomb

The extremely focused output from the driving and spot optic means almost zero glare on the hood. It's much different than a reflector based light!

Ditch lights aren't really meant to point straight over the hood anyway. They're named aptly: to light ditches alongside the road in the driver's periphery. Mounting them back on the hood or roof allows the driver to see alongside the vehicle instead of just in front of the bumper. Pointing them straight forward achieves the same results as simply putting them on the front grill, but with more potential for glare.

Also, check your final light height before using them on the road. They may be too high to be SAE compliant or street legal.

A lot of light police in this thread...who is driving on the highway with ditch lights anyways?

Same dudes who have them pointed forward I guess? I dunno man. This is the SAE thread, compliance is pretty central to the discussion.

Selective yellow is also not technically legal for driving lights, unlike fog lights. If on the street though nobody should be in front of you when you turn them on anyway, so it really shouldn’t be an issue unless your state requires covers on non-compliant lights.

I'm definitely not running the driving lights with anybody in sight. I do alot of fs roads, and driving through eastern Oregon and Nevada where you won't see cars for literally hours.

I'm still toying with the aiming, I had the flood lights aimed more towards the ditches. These seem to be better pointed straight...

If a sharp cutoff at the top of your feature list, the Sport would have probably been a better choice.

    STOP IT.

Figure this out offline. I can't help but truly feel as though DD has done their due diligence here.

I let it buck as long as I felt comfortable with because it allowed for some additional discussion and insight. I believe that we're past that point.
