They may be misaimed or on lifted vehicles.

Halogen is white light. Incandescent sources produce a full spectrum of light from ultraviolet (very little) into the infrared (red heavy end of the spectrum. Filtering the blue-indigo-violet wavelengths from incandescent sources only removes about 15% of the total light, below what is distinctly noticable to the human eye, and this psrt of the spectrum can cause some down regulation of the green and red rods and cones in our eyes. So filtering to yellow doesn't have very big negatives to it, unlike filtering all the way to a monochromatic or extremelt limited spectrum/color (like amber).

If you're looking for specific recommendations, diode dynamics SS3 pods are highly recommended lights.

SS5s have their SEMA debut next week.
Your '21 comes with Toyota's lowest performing H16 fogs, at a mere 19w. 12-15 and 16-19 TRD trucks came with much higher power 55w high performance H11 wide angle fogs. I don't have comparison data on the low output 19w H16s, but you can see how the amber G4s compare to the stock H11 TRD units below. The amber versions incure about a 38% loss compared to stock.

KC Amber G4 vs Stock H11 fogs

As others have covered, amber is not an ideal color. Selective yellow is far more performant and the SS3s are significantly higher in output intensity. On my 2nd Gen with massively upgraded headlights I could hardly even tell the amber G4s were on. If snow/freezing is a concern you'll want to look at the pro or max. The G4s or the SS3 sports will be insufficient in their ability to melt snow/ice accumulation.

As for reach/cut off location, that is somewhat dependent on aiming. If your fogs are aimed too low, they will be ineffective. You should have a 4" drop at 25' for proper aiming. However fogs are not meant to be a distance light, it is a wide angle short range light for slower speeds to find the edges of the roadway when conditions are poor.

Making the moves to switch from my rigid sae fogs with yellow covers to SS3 pro’s in selective yellow! Should be a pretty good upgrade!

That will be a huge upgrade, as those yellow covers paid a pretty steep output loss.

yeah dude i would say so.
I think my passenger side is aimed a little wrong. But even as is when i put them on it seems like they are barely bright.
I have seen my buddy’s baja designs and they are super bright. Way more than i would ever neeed but he says he loves em

If the Bajas are “super bright” then they are likely not their fog lights, and the off-road only Squadron Sports or Pros, which shouldn’t be run on the street as they have no cut offs so they blind oncoming traffic and are ineffective in fog.

For size comparison, that lens is a little smaller than the SS3 lens. That is it will fit just inside the face place surround of the SS3.

Looks like 1 color of LED, and faceplates will customize?

Curious to see the mounting design. I'll be needing 6-8 of them ;)

Power (SS3 Pro) corrupts. Absolute power (SS3 Max) is kind of neat.
