Well it's been a while since I've been around. But I'm looking for suggestions on my new to me 23 F150 for fog lights. I know, it's not a Tacoma.... But It's Fog light adjacent. haha I'm going to miss my 2015 Tacoma, but it was time to move on to a bigger truck.
    1. Diode Dynamics Elite (Selective Yellow)
    2. Diode Dynamics SS3 mounting bracket with SS3 MAX SAE Fog (Selective Yellow) and SS3 Pro SAE Fog (Selective Yellow, already own them)
    3. Diode Dynamics SS3 mounting bracket with Morimoto 4Banger HXB Wide (Selective Yellow) and SS3 Pro SAE Fog (Selective Yellow, already own them)

I'm leaning towards option 2 and 3 because snow and ice build-up is a huge factor in my decision. If gong option 2 or 3, the SS3 Pro's would only be used off-road or if the weather is REALLY bad. They may get different lenses in the future for auxiliary high beam if I don't find myself using them much, which is likely the case.

Option 1 I am curious about the Elite's actual output because I really like the sharp cutoff and beam pattern of the Tacoma Elite's in this thread, plus it looks OEM and retains the DRL. DD's site doesn't give as much detail as the Tacoma Elite Fog lights, candela and power draw is not listed so there isn't much to go off of to actually get an idea of their true performance besides the comparison photo which I'm always somewhat skeptical of. I know 3 projectors doesn't always equal more or better output when comparing to the Tacoma Elite either.

Option 2 is pretty cut and dry. I know what to expect out of the SS3 Max SAE Fog Yellow as I have them on a different vehicle and they are great, those would be the main fog lamp for use in poor weather. The SS3 Pro SS3 Pro SAE Fog Yellow I already own are brand new and are just waiting to be used. I would NOT be running both sets at the same time except offroad or if weather is REALLY bad, even in the latter I don't think I'd use them. They may get a different lens and be used as a supplemental high beam, time will tell.

Option 3 would be using a pair of Morimoto 4Banger HXB Wide Yellow as the main fog lamp on the SS3 bracket, with the SS3 Pro above used in the same way as described above. Based of dimensions and mounting provisions on the DD Bracket, it seems like it'd bolt right up to the DD brackets without an issue. I've never used the Morimotos and my curiosity has me interested in them.

Pictures of the new truck just for reference.
