lower and under. i think my lights need to be aimed up a little bit so the fogs sit underneath.

As mentioned, definitely lower and completely under the headlights on a wall shot. @TRD2010SpeedwayBlue has some adjusting to do. :)

going to try to do that this weekend.
have to find a long screw driver as i’m told that will work to adjust the cutoff of the headlights i should 100% be able to see the fogs separate under the low beams like this right?

Yep, they should be clearly distinguishable separate patterns in a short range wall shot.

After all of this I am glad that I chose rigid. I do like the looks of the BD better, but it boils down to function over form. I currently have the BD amber wide cornering that will soon be for sale. I just need to get my Rigids installed now.

Not a fan of the look of square light pods or light bars.
Much prefer round lights and old school big round lights on the roof for a offroad truck.

I'm happy I got my KC G4' instead if waiting for the baja's.

    Hello everyone,

Baja Designs has been known to push the limits of the lighting world and the SAE light is nothing but that. Traditionally, lights have conformed to the simple way of producing an SAE J583 Fog Lamp by creating harsh cutoffs to prevent light from going in areas that must have a CONTROLLED amount of light. The amount of light is very little but SAE regulations make light in these areas acceptable if it remains under the maximum allowable light for those regions. This is extremely difficult for manufacturers to produce a light that can provide defined main beam and light in those limited areas so all of them opt for a very harsh cutoff since those areas are OPTIONAL. Baja Designs prides itself on creating the best light a customer can buy and the long R&D time to produce this light and the best lighting pattern is nothing short of that. Different from other Baja Designs lights, the SAE light passes light from the LEDs through 3 different optics to get the desired pattern. No reflectors are used within this light because it would not produce the desired results.

Thanks for that @Baja Designs I’ll keep faith in these. I’m excited for mine to ship out and to get them installed. Hopefully it’ll be soon :taco:

@TRD2010SpeedwayBlue are you running the white sae Rigid with covers or the selective yellow? I'm on the fence. Thanks, the Bajas look like they will glare up to much. Yet we will have to wait for Crashnburn80 to do his proper review of them.

i’m running the white with amber covers.
believe i’m the only tacoma that has the white with amber covers as the brackets were custom modified to accept them as out the box the cover won’t fit

Thank you for chiming in BD. I'm hoping to see these bad boys in action irl if they aren't really as obnoxious as they are in pictures. atm I'm expressing my reaction to these pictures. I hope this in-depth review changes our minds and the scattered light is acceptable to our eyes on the road. fingers crossed!

I'll run them on my F150 with Rigid mount. I prefer the look of the Bajas vs the cube Rigid. I'll still wait for the review before I order a set, I'm planning on taking a set of D2 driving patter duallys of my Dakota and put them on a pillar mounts eventually. Also thanks for the quick reply.

Rigids look nice and perform great! =P

ps; theyre clocked outwards just a tad bit. the overlap in the middle is more than enough light and i can see pedestrians clearly at night

Looks sick, I plan on getting the OR town cubes, they're up there with rigid but cheaper.

never mind, found some old pics. yellow vinyl made them look green and i took them off a few weeks later. not sure if this is what you want but i assume you wanted to see the beam patterns.

Edit; I used yellow vinyl over the clear Rigid covers. I think amber would better suit the the color temp for selective yellow.

I can tell the fogs will fill in where the fxr's won't. NICE,
