I have the KC G4 in amber. Full disclosure, this is the first set of aftermarket fog lights I've owned(have had aftermarket spotlights before) so I can only compare these to stock.
I am extremely impressed by the output of these lights. At slow to moderate speeds I feel comfortable driving with just the dogs. Nice clean cut offs and good color.

What I'm getting at is I feel they are quite bright, and I'd be afraid of to much brighter blinding oncoming traffic.

The rigids for me are a no go as I dont like cube lights, or light bars.

Now you’ve got my curiosity peaked to know output comparisons for the KC G4’s: White vs Amber vs White with color shieldz/laminex

I too have the amber G4s, but I don't understand why you would be concerned about blinding oncoming traffic if they are properly aimed?

I honestly am not sure. They put off a ton of light. Maybe blind is the wrong word. Distract? Even aimed properly I dont want the oncoming traffic seeing to much light coming at them.

I have the white vs amber posted in the amber KC review post, but no data on running the color shields.

Nothing to worry about, the KCs have great cut offs so on coming drivers effectively do not notice the light output, as it isn’t aimed at them. Only you notice the output. The ambers have great color, but are a bit low in output compared to the white KC G4’s.

Do you have factory halogen headlamps? I have retrofitted D2S hid projectors as headlights and compared to those the KC G4s are much more dim. I only use my fogs when there is fog, heavy rain, or when I am driving on trails and want to be visible to others (dusty conditions, blind corners, heavy wooded areas). I feel like the amber works great for that.

For what it’s worth I drove through the hardest rain and fog of my life last week in cape cod (there was a tornado warning that night) and the KC G4’s were life savers. We couldn’t see the lines on the highway with low beams (H9 phillips) but the KC’s made them very visible in terrible conditions when I know stock wouldn’t have done the same. I highly recommend them- thanks once again @crashnburn80 for helping with our safety.

Like him or not, this video had some illuminating shots toward the end showing just how much glare come off the BD. Around 7:00min there is some off road video with pretty high camera angles and still a lot of glare from the fogs

Could be the camera, as the DRLs are also giving off a lot of glare.

You can't sell me on the Baja's SAE. Not when the KC's and Rigid's are clearly better.
