You can't trust everything you see on YouTube....his Instagram account has a picture of a Squadron Sport taken apart and says to watch this video. Not the SAE like he says...here's a screen shot (from the video) for the haters.

    Screenshot_20190803-134812.jpg

It says Squadron Sport right here.

If he's opening a Squadron Sport rather than the SAE then there is no telling what's on his truck during the snow footage. It looks like he's still running his Squadron pros in a lot of that footage.

Edit: For those that can't see it, here's his Instagram pic where you can clearly see the Squadron Sport.

but notice the pc board. I wonder if they are just reusing the sport board with different LEDs.

Yeah it looks like the sport LEDs are bigger. They fill in most of that square around them.

From a pure manufacturing standpoint, it would make sense to use as many common parts as possible. The difference is probably just the optics / LEDs.

Agreed. The higher up they are it seems the shittier the light coverage, too. For the best light coverage they need to be mounted as low as possible, and that's obviously not doable in a lifted truck. They are also riddled with quality control issues (as most Chinese brand budget friendly LED pods/bars have). I've seen a lot of complaints of condensation due to faulty seals.

I assume the ortown and similar are the same as rough country's? Was thinking about getting some to aid in my older dodge's headlights. Previous owner put leds in the headlights, so they suck but I do t drive it enough to really worry. So I was thinking about getting a cheaper set of sae fogs or driving lights to run when needed. On another note still debating on what to get for my daily driver, to many decisions.

not sure if this was mentioned anywhere in the thread
i have a set of rigid sae fogs from 2 years ago. bought another set of rigid sae fogs 2 months ago.
the new ones are a much warmer color/temperature then the ones from back then. This has a more natural color, very noticeable. The new ones are definitely not bluish like the older ones.

I've read somewhere on this thread that there are newer rigid sae sets. I believe Crashnburn emailed them or called them to ask about it. I would like to see a older pod vs a newer one.

I'm assuming the inside one is newer and the middle is the older, looks more blue? Sweet raptor, wish I had hunted one but oh well. One day.
