I wonder how much width you could get out of the 360s if you mounted them with minimal center overlay? Or even the D-series for that matter.

Based on the configuration of my 2015 Tacoma, using the side pointing Rago D-series flush mounts, I will keep the D-Series SAE fogs in the outer fog location. The side pointing mounts with the D-series give a wider area of illumination for better shoulder visibility outside the primary headlight zone. Foglights should aid in shoulder visibility. While the illuminated area is smaller than the 360s, the intensity is higher (which I prefer) and some of the larger illuminated area of the 360s falls below the hood line when viewed from the driver seat for my configuration, where the light does not aid in improving visibility. I am 6' and run 1" rear seat risers and the truck is lifted 2.25" with 255/75/R17 tires. I prefer the enhanced function over the better form. I do have plans for the 360s though, as secondary aux fogs in the lower valence, which is a project I've been planning for a while. I'll post full write up on how to do that, but it is still a ways out and I need to have mounting parts prototyped.

I think it would be very interesting to have a mount that angled the 360s out to the sides like the Rago mount, which would then give wider shoulder illumination than the D-series offer. You do want the pattern overlap in the front though so that you have more forward intensity for poor weather use.

Annnd they're installed. Paranoid Fabrications ARB mounts were used and had to be modified (extra holes added) because they are made for Baja Designs lights or other cube style lights. It is a tight fit. The ARB-adapted KC G4 Amber lights will be for sale.

Thanks! I live up on a hill in South Seattle and the past few days have seen some really heavy fog. I will update with first impressions compared to the KC G4s.

I'm just across the water, It has been really foggy this week. Of course I've been missing out on my 5am gym routine this week which would be a great test opportunity, as I have been up too late playing with lights.

Is this the brand spanking newly designed BAJA SAE fog lights? If so, wow! Rigid has nice cut off where as Baja...well no cut offs.

Yes. Baja has apparently stopped selling the SAE model as they are not SAE compliant. They said they would ‘make it right’ which I’m guessing is a redesign. See the full Baja review post in this thread.

There is a cutoff just way to much upwards light. Its obvious, I still like them but I'm going to get some D series RI or the 360 if I can make a mount.

I’ve checked with other Baja vendors and they have apparently not communicated with them either. You’ll notice on Baja’s site all SAE lights are listed as ‘no estimated ship date’. So it appears they will accept payment but not ship at this time, likely stocking orders till a redesign is complete. You saw Baja’s CEO’s statement on the matter? Unfortunately they have been MIA since then and stopped shipping their SAE lights without further communication.

I'm gonna assume that the silence is due to SEMA this week. I just ended up refunding money to everyone who I had on the hook for the SAE lights. Really hard to make a guess at a time horizon on this one.

SEMA week would be understandable, but it has now been 3 weeks. People shouldn’t have to guess on what is going on for that amount of time. There is so much value in transparency, Baja could really get ahead of this by sharing with the community as Trent promised, but instead they have been MIA.

This exactly. Doesn’t take long to post “hey we have stopped production until we fix the problem”. Instead no matter how many times you tag them @Baja Designs they remain silent.

Poor leadership. Own the mistakes. Fix them as quickly as you can. Communicate with and support your customer base, and be transparent even if that means an embarrassing moment. Transparency is literally everything to restore/maintain credibility with your customer base. I really thought Trent was stepping in to set a new direction, but that appeared temporary till they got the failed results back.
