So in light of finally getting the Icon AAL's installed I wanted to finally put the bro lean and tire rub issues to bed. So this weekend we kicked off with lowering my suspension a 1/4''. (side note, because I get excited I always fail to take after shots, so everything is before).

We measured the shock and to my surprise the coil was only loaded 1 1/4''.

A closer look. My depth perception is garbage.

Since the issue has been raised to me before I decided to take a picture of how close the UCA's came to the coil. I never has issues (obviously) with smacking the shock at full droop off road. Being that I shaved off that 1/4 be rest assured THE UCA IS SITTING ON THE COIL AT FULL DROOP. I will have to invest in some limit straps.

After making quick work of the shocks it was time to start cutting that damn cab mount...again. Managed to get a hand with that from Pacman4runner.

All said and done, no more freak'n bro lean. The truck rides SO much better. I have yet so take it out for a light run but that will probably wait until I get some limit straps.

Since I'm on this sweet mission this week that gives me free time while the sun is out I took the liberty of doing a bootleg wash on the truck (spray on wash/wax). It came out great FWIW and here are some shots of it's new stance :D

It may seem so petty but I love that it's finally level.

Everywhere we go, we gotta let em know.

All in all I am extremely satisfied now with the look and function of my truck. The only things that are still pressing are the rear main seal and rear diff leaks. Good news is that I have identified that the rear diff leak is in fact NOT the pinion seal, but the rtv sealing the third member to the housing. Thanks for sub'n

As promised pictures of my painted fenders and tailgate. Fenders need another coat of clear but they came out pretty damn good for a garage job.

Just need to get more hardener and all this can be finished up. Grille, door handles, and mirrors are next for paint.

Thanks dude. It was a spur of the moment thing and I'm glad it got done. I need to get more hardener before my buddy leaves to he can do the finishing. Your right though man I got to ditch that bumper and then it won't look so crappy. Also considering re-finishing the tail lights.

Yeah I plan on giving the fenders a coat. I have been going back and forth about rear glass and I don't think I will ever do it. I like how it goes from wide to narrow (so to speak). I am going to just take the rear bumper off and just make a simple tube bumper. Currently a flag pole is being made from scratch to boast my winning prize from Excalibur in Vegas :D

This truck is down for about a week now. The ring and pinion is shot. Issues with it just kept getting worse and worse each day so I finally sought to put the issue to bed today and discovered that Nitro Gears are shit. This ring and pinion has 13,Xxx and are already a soup sandwhich. If this issue is not put to bed after this 4th attempt, I'm done with this truck and gonna sell it with no remorse.

If the truck is done I'll debate between stripping parts and buying something else to throw those on, or just selling as is and getting a car. Thanks Josh. I'll be rolling home in a KIA for leave haha

Ahhhh, ok. A car has been on my mind a lot lately too. Or a 4runner.

Right on. And that's in the beginning of July right?

Yeah man. This puts a serious damper in doing the sas on the pick up.
Maybe it depends how much this re gearing sets me back.

On another note the guy doing the re gearing is on board to put a uniball into my stock lca's, gusset the coil buckets, gusset the spindles, and strengthen the mounting where the lca camber bolts are. We will go through with those plans so long as this gearing issue is solved.

why sell the truck? its just a rear diff issue, thats easy!!
just buy a used 3rd off of ttora with a locker and gears already and slap that biatch in there.

and speaking of, do i still owe you $100? or did i give it to you? i forgot
