Nah, in Council. About an 45 minutes from McCall on 95 south of New Meadows. My gal moved down a year ago for a Forest Service promotion and I finally followed.

I haven’t seen Gage in a long time. They bought a house way out of town and don’t come out much. Plan is to go camping with them the weekend of the 21st since it’s his wife’s birthday and my girlfriends birthday that weekend. I’ll be sure to say hi for you.

Nope! Not very much here, which I really enjoy. The snow’s coming out of the mountains, so I’m getting to explore a little bit and figure out the cool spots.

Thanks! Started back on it today after getting my tools semi organized in the new place. Next project is to wire wheel, paint and box the rear half of the frame. Got the trail gear kits. I think I’m going to have to cut a couple of the factory reinforcements out to get some of the more concerning rust, but from the rear of the cab forward is in decent shape and can probably wait until I’ve got the front end tore apart and the body mounts to do.

I’ve been doing little things too to help speed up the putting it back together process a bit more. Putting in a few panels, putting my front bumper pieces back on to the bumper, etc...

Installed a dakota digital spi-5e unit to correct my speedometer. Pretty straight forward install. Hooked into the speed wire behind the glove box and found an ignition positive and a negative with a multi meter. Used a molex connector so it can be taken out easily and made a jumper plug so I can connect the original wire back together and have a (inaccurate) speedometer if i decide to take the dakota digital out in the future. Velcroed it up behind the glove box! Happy to have an accurate speedo and odometer again.387B6E4D-2DC2-40B3-9EA2-E43A8C76B5D4.jpg863006F0-B69A-447A-8E1B-CF93EBD0803C.jpg

Also installed my scan gauge. Haven't seen it here before, but it was out of the way of all the warning lights on the dash.F38B846D-9F42-4202-8E8D-B7E406DC9FF5.jpg

My buddy that helped me do a lot of the body work came to visit this weekend. The day before he got here, the thermostat stuck closed… didn’t get to do any wheeling. Tearing it apart this week for water pump, timing belt, new radiator, hoses fan clutch and now a thermostat.

    yay!……….
