That astro turf is sweet, looks like you are getting it all squared away, I hope they clear you.

Haha my dad was always a huge proponent of astroturf while camping and I never cared for it, but after this trip, I loved it! Great to have something but dirt outside your door.
Thanks man it's nowhere near done. Needs to have it's slides put in, tie down points, and coated in some kind of rubberized finish. I'm thinking like a monstaliner or something of the sort to prevent stuff sliding around.

Yeah I know @fishfinder uses some turf my dad gave him because he's crazy and brought like 4 pieces when we went camping with him.

As far as the tent, the instant tent sets up in half the time of the RTT and I like being able to leave it behind. I think I'll get an RTT again if I can get the hardshell that @ChandlerDOOM designed, or get a trailer so I can leave it behind. Even then, I think I might rather have a teardrop style trailer.

Yea I was going to ask if you plan to spray it in some sort of bed liner material but since you mention it the rubberized material sounds better as it will fit your purpose better. Do you plan on filling in the sides with additional storage compartments or just leave it free for misc. items?

I think just gonna leave it. I need to be sure I can access the driver side cubby back there for the jack and diff breather. Other side is not as important since I just keep an extension cord but I've thought of keeping it as a place to mount an ARB compressor.
Thats the goal man! Big purchases: Regear, Supercharger, Teardrop.

Right on, probably more efficient to leave it open to begin with, structure is good for big items but im sure it will be good to just be able to toss anything you need there.

Yeah. It's kind of annoying having the open space. I wish it fit perfectly, but it doesn't :(

That's why I have considered going with the goosegear drawer setup cause all of the compartments are perfectly cut for the bed. Just too much of an investment, so my imperfection will have to do.

I don't mind it with the fancy air mattress, but I'd rather be in a trailer.
