Shackles going on at the end of the week, then I'm heading down my camping trail to measure overall flex

expos ride a fuckton better than my AAL, I was surprised

 

@Konaborne How's the trail down Makalawena? worse than Mana Road?

Its a pretty stiff ride without the weight in the back eh? I put some weight on my standard leafs and it felt X10 better!

Makalawena has some easy-ish rock crawling, can do stock height but you need to take the right lines. Otherwise there's lots of underbody damage to be done. tougher than mana road, but different kind of offroading

With About 150 in the bed it rides super smooth. Without, it's like having my aals back

 

This truck looks even better in person.

 

wheeling a little bit to try and get the springs to settle a bit before getting the shackles on.
Expos flex nicely, going to be doing a full review of the expos as well as my experiences with All Pro as soon as I wheel the shackles

 

@COMAtose Thanks alot man he helped me out alot... but i am keeping this lift and gunna change the rear end and im trying to figure out if i can run new uca's with the fabtech with a more lt coilover... any ideas?

 

today, I installed my AP shackles...flexed it out then realized that even after wearing in my expos a bit and installing the OME exhaust relocate, my leafs still rub the shit out of my exhaust......

I'm going to need to change my exhaust before I can wheel hard with my shackles; ended up putting the stocks back on a few hours later

fuck having a stock exhaust, and fuck hawaii exhaust laws






but the flex with the shackles was tasty AF

 

Dump it over the axle

 

Cut that fucker right near the tail pipe exit!!! Then you can get one flowmaster after your stock one rusts out!!! Lol

I wanna dump mine also and get rid of that 3" chrome tip. I heard all it has to do is exit the cab

 

All the shops that I usually take my truck to get safety checked told me that it has to exit the body, and that they wouldnt safety it if I dumped it after the axle (Gonna try see if I can find someone that will....)

for now, im just gonna try and wheel the leafs enough to wear them down enough to give me space to put the shackles on later


in the meantime, I found out I have enough funds to get some armor and new UCA's earlier than my "next year" objective

 

Do what I did. My pipe exits over the top of the leaf pack and stays up nice an tucked away stealthy like. I love it.


Also you have 10" 5150? Looks like you should have more droop then that...I can drop a full 33" tire below my body..or in that last pic are all the tires on the ground still kinda hard to tell

 

The rear drivers was a few inches off, if I had a better spot to flex there was still some travel left in the leafs...but this was the best I could find in my backyard

I like that idea...........
