This kind of crap makes me not want to update on my build because I either get no response or when I do it's negative. Sure I get constructive criticism but when someone just comes in to bash on a build. Childish and immature. There's a certain respect people should have for eachother. Yes I have a powerstroke sticker because I like ford powerstrokes. The tow mirrors help me see blind spots better. Simple enough. Last time I checked I didn't wanna look like everyone else's tacoma. It's nice to be unique. Sure I get flipped the bird, but I can just smile and laugh. But tacomaworld of all places I would of expected there to be a mutual respect for eachother for whatever they do there truck. This is ridiculous.

So I still have my stock headlights. New job starts on June 1st. So I think I want to retrofit my headlights and get a look similar to that of tacochaos. He has some sweet headlights and truck for that matter. I'm assuming everyone uses the retrofit source for parts. Any suggestions on halo colors and ideas would be appreciated! :oldglory:

I know there is an on going group buy for them. FXR's are the brightest but biggest pain to put in

The mini d2s are said to be almost if not up to par with the performance of the fxr

That's what I've been reading too. Anything will be an upgrade from my halos. There not horrible but I see the pictures of the light output some of the retrofits are producing and it makes me want to do it.

    The
whole process seems very labor intensive. I just worry if I can get it done right or not.

It's not too bad. The part that I was over was painting everything. I rushed that when I shouldn't have. Good to have a spare set of housings or something else to drive when you do it.

I think the part I would mess up is installing the projector into the headlight itself and adjusting it

It's easier than you think. The d2s fits in there and has an alignment ring to help you. Oh I also had an issue where the lock nut wouldn't thread on enough to be able to fit the bulb retainer but that's easy if you got a Dremel to clear the way

So I haven't updated in a while. Went to Moab and had a great time. I'm very impressed with my truck and what it can do without lockers. No body damage at all thank the lord. For the fun of it I got an led whip. I may get a second one just to be symmetrical. I think it's pretty cool but to each their own I guess. But it changes colors so that's cool.

Is there the place you finally put your CB? Did that too and make it hold with velcros but didn't hold long (Velcro glue vs cold winter). And I didn't like the position very much for reaching the buttons. Now it is sitting between the console and driver seat until I find a spot to put it :p
