Just wanting to let some of yall here know that I will be up in Hot Springs from the 11th-17th. Myself and a stock 4x4 GMC will be hitting the trails 14,15 and 16 at the superlift park. We won't be camping but driving back and fourth to my buddies house.

I live in the Heber Springs area. I'm definitely down for a ride sometime. We should try to set a ride for a month or so in advance so we can get as many folks together as possible.

Yea i dont think i am going to be able to fit in super-lift this weekend but if we tried to get a large or as large of a group you can get in Arkansas i would be more than happy to come down. I live in Little Rock so its pretty easy for me to get just about anywhere, just wish i had some new tires for something like that

how gnarly or lame are the trails at hot springs? is it some crazy riding or are there chilled out trails to mess around on?

Stick to the 1 and 2 rated trails and you should be fine. My Gf drove for the first time this past weekend and had a blast. Now the trails change from time to time. We hit some 2 rated trails that were pretty tough I would have classed it a little harder than 2. Still had a blast.

    yeah, something like that.

honestly, i've never seen a ranger or any authority figure on the buffalo. as long as you don't cause any crap and keep it in a coozy, i think you'll be alright. if you see a ranger, just put your drink down in the canoe. i doubt they'll harass you unless you are making a scene or causing trouble

Ive gotten stopped by the rangers twice just doing routine inspections, they just checked the coolers to make sure there was no glass, everyone was of age, and that the people fishing had licenses. The rangers up there are the only people on the river with motorized boats for the most part so you will typically hear them coming a good ways ahead.
