The trusty @JDEMELLO sliders saved my Tacoma from extensive damage . They took such an impact and didn't even bend one bit. I got T-boned at the intersection & spun 180 degrees. My body doesn't feel the best after the impact but both parties walked away. I honestly think the truck would've seen possible frame damage if they weren't there.

I almost made 10 years without an accident. Just Almost. . .
    Huge Thanks to Jason!

What?!! No f'ing way! I'm sorry bud. So you're sure your frame didn't bend? Does this mean you're keeping the truck and getting repaired? This is a sad day. Your truck was one of the trucks that first inspired me.

    ^ Things happen.

Honestly, I got out of the truck after making sure I got myself together. I went over to his vehicle to make sure he was okay and doing alright. I didn't think to look at my truck at all and after the adrenaline wore off, the pain of my truck and body set in. However I am blessed to be able to go out to dinner with the gf tonight. The small details in life we sometimes take for granted. The impact was hard and the sliders took the brunt of the impact and just whipped me around. His Mercedes front end is pretty much gone from impact. He hit the sliders and grinding against it and hit the rear wheel. The impact cracked my rim into two separate pieces .

Hope there isn't frame damage :fingerscrossed::pray: . If it's going to be totaled. I'll pull off the parts off and I suppose they'll be used on a new 3rd gen.

^ Thanks Craig! Adjuster came and the damage total is 7.2k. Thats before the wheel was taken off to inspect the suspension and I know my rear Icon 2.5 Omega shock is bent. So thats 1k alone and hoping the rear axle is okay. They'll also look at the frame as well as everything else. It's already up to 7.2k already before it was even put on the lift.

The irony? I have to just laugh so hard about it right now. I just ordered the Garmin 20 Dash Cam off Ebay randomly. They had a sale on Ebay and I decided, why not protect myself on the road. While the darn thing is in transit, this happened. I just can't get over that at all.

Overall I've been in great spirit and truly grateful.

    Pain Killers. . . You're my best friend. . . lol

^ Is the 3rd gen that bad? I love the look of them and test drove it. I do agree they're a bit pricey now in comparison. I want to get the 4runner but I feel the design is about to get changed soon.

I am just not a fan. I think Toyota dropped the ball on the re-design. I hate the drivetrain, the front is just not growing on me at all, but to each their own.

Thanks man! One day at a time in the right direction.

The frame is safe! Repairs have started and the body shop guy said to thank my Demello sliders. However the rear axle is now in question. We'll see how that goes now.
