I think it will do well just look at all the S10's Chevy sold and with a new and improved mid sized truck I think will be the one that has the lions share of the business. Also it seems the Tacoma is just way to high in price. Maybe a little competition will bring the price down.

I think the only way I will own a chevy again is if it comes with a 300k mile bumper to bumper all inclusive warranty. But that's just me.

    Howdy,
sounds great except it is made by Odumbo Motors and they are the leaders in recalls.

If you think the Tacoma is priced high, wait until you see the price of the new GM twins.

Yep, I saw advertisement in a magazine few days ago. Std. engine 200 HP 4 cylinder. Optional V6 305 ponies. Sorry no go for me. I will not be the first to try out new engines in vehicles. Did that once 8 months after I bought it. I was told that it could develop engine problems. Not again.

I hope it sells very well to force a major redesign of the Tacoma.
I will be giving the new Chevy a close look also. The V6 engine is the 3.6 direct injection that is used in some of their other vehicles but tuned for truck use. A six speed transmission will be used also.
Next year a Diesel expected to get 30 MPG.
Toyota should never have let GM get the jump on them. The Frontier will also have a diesel next year.

I don't think Toyota will drop the price on the Tacoma. They are much more likely to add features and improvements. Heated mirrors anyone?

    Yawn.

Just another GM recall in the making as far as I am concerned.
