The New Droid X

Just got mine delivered today and just now got it activated. Been with att/cingular for almost 15 yrs. Hope im not making a mistake switching to verizon.
coming from a bb 8700c and 8900, im pretty impressed so far.
however the 3g seems a tad slow. I usually am running wi fi on my ipod touch here at work and also on my home network. So that's why it seems slow to me.
The phone isn't quota as large as most people think. Its only an inch taller than my 8700c and easily half as wide.
The 8mp cam looks awesome as does the 720p video.
Havnt had but about 2 hours to play with it so far and it's really easy to navigate.
Also the qwerty keyboard is 10x easier than on my 8700 or my ipod touch.

Cool phone but that shit is to dam big! I love my HTC incredible great size and fast as shit!

 

if i'm not mistaken, the slower 3g speeds are normal. correct me if i'm wrong but i believe ATT has the fastest 3g network, unfortunately, that doesn't mean shit if nobody can get a signal. i'd rather have VZ's slower network with excellent coverage than ATT's slightly faster network with poor coverage. not to worry though, VZ will be rolling out there new 4g network in the next year. i've still got the original droid, and i will prolly hang onto it until the 4g network is in place before i upgrade.

 

I could really use some help importing my contact list from my blackberry.
I synced my BB to outlook and exported it onto my desktop as a .csv file.(I think).
Now how do I get it from my desktop to my Droid?
Any help is much appreciated.

 

did you have back up assistant on your bb.

 

Not sure. But I figured it out. Just imported all my contacts from the csv file to my gmail. It ported everything over. Thanks.
