I normally like Falkens, but their size offerings on this one are weird and they are way too heavy. If anything, I was looking to find a tire whose weight begins with the number 4.

Oh yeah that would be nice for sure. From my research at least for 285-70-17 A/T tires in load rated, BFG K02 were the lightest at 50-51lb as opposed to the 54-58 of other brands.

IIRC, it is the same with the Wildpeak AT as well in the 285/70/17 size. The C weighs more than the E. I read somewhere that it is because the C rated are used as OEM tires on the Jeep Gladiator so they have to add more material for the tires to pass OEM requirements.

perhaps they are looking at using the size you highlighted in an OEM application

That's interesting. I was initially thinking that those stats might be a typo, or were accidentally mixed up.

The 285/70/17 C is lighter than the 285/70/17 E. Not by much, 63.4 lbs. vs. 64.9 lbs.

I am definitely interested to hear some feedback once these tires are available on the market. Especially how they compare to other popular tires like STT pro and Yokohama G003

Way too heavy for these trucks, in my opinion. Anything over 55lbs is too much.

Maybe the smaller sizes might be less than 55lbs.

Can't have the best of both worlds here guys.
Mud terrain is heavy. All terrain are heavy.
I use e rated because I've had punctures with other loads because of sidewalls and rocks.

I think for someone who uses there rig without a doubt that has mud terrain already would be interested in these because of mileage warranty. When you don't use your truck for a daily driver weight really doesn't matter. For someone that does use their truck for a daily driver all terrain are probably their best choice.

I know that it has been difficult for me to purchase a mud train because I don't know how long they're gonna last and I tow a really heavy boat a couple times a year.

This is just an opinion, I'm not gonna pull the trigger on these tires yet because there aren't really any reviews out there yet they're still too new.

I've been super happy with my a AT3's and I probably will go that route again if I don't end up liking these RT's

I would like to try them. Though I am weight conscious. I wonder about the noise level?

I just ordered (not delivered) a set of Cooper EVO MT tires from Discount Tire. I may need to call the store tomorrow to cancel and switch to Wildpeak R/Ts
