I like the current rangers, actually had one for my wife for a while. That one looks like it got beat with an ugly stick.

I think a chevy malibu got rear ended by a nissan frontier and they called it the international ranger

I would like to see another nice midsize truck in the US market. Competition is the best formula to improve quality and cost. Right now, Tacoma has no competition... Nissan Frontier is just for those who can't afford Taco.

Agreed on competition. That thing is ugly, but I'm sure some will like it. I always thought the current gen Ranger would look good jacked up etc, even if it is one of the most unreliable vehicles to ever plague their owners. I know 2 people with em, both of them have had their transmissions explode just out of warranty. Poor buggers. Told them both to buy tacomas, too expensive they said! HA whats a transmission worth.

One took my advice now and has a toyota, the other one till driving and repairing his ranger all the time.

Same Gillette razor grill they use on all their vehicles...But kudos to Ford for finally redesigning the Ranger and at least raising the competition bar. HOWEVER unfortunately I doubt we will see that model in the US....too close to the F150. I doubt Ford will cannibalize F-150 sales with its own close competitor. But they have been a thorn in Toyota's side for awhile now...who knows. Competition is a good thing. The domestics knocked the Camry off it's long time perch. I would love to see them released here. Its nice to see Toyota humbled once in awhile.

Looking at the pictures I tell myself: This looks like a car with a bed.

Maybe the truck is solidly built and can handle off-road and towing, but the look of it tells otherwise. The sides of the trucks look ok, but the front end does not fit a truck.

Agreed with the ''gillette razor grills'' WTF is that? futuristic look?
