they are both ugly.....in their own way. The ford doesn't have the painted Tupperware though +1 for that

I had a Ranger. I sold it as soon as the warranty ran out. Supposedly Ford has gotten much much better. If they keep that up for another decade, I'll put aside my anger and think about another Ford.

Rangers are discontinued in the US right? I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere.

Yep! I have a 2000 Ranger. Should pick up my new Tacoma next week. I looked at both.

Ranger: Pros - Lower price, better equipped for the price, and lots of incentives including 0%/60 mo financing.
Cons - Underpowered, worse gas mileage, hasn't been updated other than superficially, looks like my 2000, and doesn't have the Ford Sync system.

Tacoma: Pros - More power, better looking, continually updated, more reliable, has the Blu Logic Hands Free system, and better re-sale value.
Cons - More expensive and no incentives.

    Ranger Con: EVERYTHING BROKE
Towed at 5000 miles for a tranny leak
Engine would randomly shake like a mofo - "could not reproduce"
Check engine light - random sensors
Engine Pinging - new computer, timing, coils. Never fixed
Put key in lock and broke lock + window - well that's weird
Suspension creaking like a dorm room bed - replaced control arm
I forget what issue - belt tensioner
Rear window leak - new seal

Gave up and sold at 35900 miles.

Its funny, My friend has a base model ranger with 285000 miles on it. Changed the starter and that is it. I think this truck in the form as we see it now looks too much like a Brat is any of yall remember that piece of shit. I don't think it will look the same in America, at least the front end won't. Trucks that look like this are uber popular in outside markets, especially Australia, but they never seem to make it here in this form.

I dont know what the other services call it, but hte Marines have "combat camera". They had loads of high end stuff, I had one attached to my squad for a while.

Wonderful...now the Thai can make a denigrating acronym about Ford, which in Thai is 25% shorter - ฟอร์
