none except for crappy hub caps and floor mats.
The new Taurus looks nice but... Whenever I go looking for parts at the salvage yard for my old 55' Mercury, the largest section in the yard is no kidding- the Ford section. Additionally, the bulk of them are Tauruses with blown head gaskets ( per the white foam spray all under the hood and engine compartment). Tauruses seem to last about 100k or less then self-destruct.

The only good thing about them is their resale is awful, so you could buy one every 2-3 years and still be paying less than a new Camry every 5-10 years. Otherwise- miserable examples of mechanical engineering.

The raptor does look pretty sweet! But I LOVE the look of those new F-150s, they look too good!

    The resale is horrible.

    I just built one online:

crewcab, with 6.5' box and FX4 leather package (so as close as i could spec to the tacoma i'm about to order, crewcab, longbox, trd sport/leather)

$43,000 includes freight and PDI (this includes a $5,000 discount)

$804 per month plus tax on a 48 month lease!

    Taco:

    $37,665 includes freight and PDI

$579 per month plus tax on a 48 month lease.

Now, i realize that i'm compared a midsize truck to a fullsize, but the dollars don't really make a difference. Fact is, that Ford is worthless after 4 years, and that's why the lease is disproportionately higher after the term.

Using the toyota lease standard, if the taco had the same MSRP, the payment would be roughly $660. The Ford just can't hold up in terms of real world affordability because the depreciation is so huge over the term.

-1 for ford. I personally will never own another.

The interceptor looks like ass. Square steering wheel? Yeah, real smart.
That Taurus is a ripped off Mitsubishi Lancer, with some Impreza thrown in for good luck.

You have one of the few that lasted. All in all. In general. Considering the grand scheme of things. Toyota > Ford any day of the week.

Mine may be 2 years younger, but I am willing to bet it will out last your 05 by a good many years.

I can see the body lines of the volvo, but yeah, Lancer.

I think all of the new Fords are ugly. Personally, I wouldnt buy an F-150 with all the problems Ford has with the sparkplugs breaking when you try to remove them.

    It's cosworth RS200

It was homoglated when ford was winning in rally. 200 road cars were built. 300 hp, AWD, and weighed just over 2000 lbs. 0-60 in just over 3 seconds and 1/4 mile times in the low 11's. Independant suspension all around

Modified ones have seen 2.1 second 0-60 times and sub 10 second runs.

They are one of the coolest fastest cars ever built in the 80s

Except the new taurus is an eye opener.
They last longer than a lot of things, you have to own one to really appreciate it.
I'm sorry but I don't see Volvo anywhere in it. I see Lincoln since it's like the same thing as the MKS but Volvos are much classier than Lincoln and smoother/bigger/more comfortable. At least the S80 that it's modeled off of is.
I'm just saying: go to a Volvo dealer and test drive an S80 V8 AWD with teh sport package...so nice.
This is what Ford should build, something that can run up with Bugatti Veyrons. lol
Wasn't that right as Ford was starting to pick back up in quality but what they were turning out was still crap?
I remember a big deal about how the new F-250+ were the standard to how Ford was going to build every car and truck they sell from now on.

I don't see it. Volvos are higher up to me and I have big issues with relating any Fords or really anything else to them.

Go drive an S80 and maybe your view will change. they have their own style and feel of driving than anything else.

I just wanted to give this a nice bump and get some opinions on this vehicle, it's a 2009 Ford Explorer Sport Trac Adrenalin model. White outside, black inside. It's only missing navigation and something to tell you if you're about to back into something. But the fun thing is that it's got the 4.6L Mustang V8! Yay! (20's come standard!)
    Tell me what you think...

All I will say is have fun when its time to change the sparkplugs. Its not at all uncommon for several of the sparkplugs to break when you try to remove them.
My father works in the service department of a Ford dealer and according to him, it happens all the time.
Apparently, they have a tool that looks like a big easy-out that helps to remove them, but they are still a pain.
Its funny, the old 2-valve Triton V8s had issues with the sparkplugs ejecting and the 3-valve Tritons have issues with the plugs breaking when you try to remove them. Its like Ford went from one extreme to the other. LOL
Not to mention that those things have horrible resale value.
Not sure how much they want for that Sport-Trac, but whatever it is, if you keep that thing for a year or 2, expect to get less than half of what you paid for it when you trade it in.
Personally, Id take a Doublecab Tacoma over one of those, but its your money...
