The US version would have had a chance if Jay Leno would have signed on but my understanding is that even he thought the US version wouldn't be good so he passed.

Am I the only one that heard Jeremy sign off the last show of this season by saying it was the last show of the series? Was that a joke?

they say "series" instead of "season" for some reason. he meant it was the last show of season 15.

You can't compare the personalities of Clarkson, Hammond and May to these three new guys.

The original is so good that the USA version doesn't stand a chance and It isn't the same without british accents.

And to those think that Paul "Dickhead" Tracey acts as the Stig... come on, why does he not have a ride? Oh yeah, he sucks... American TV will not allow the antics.

I was unimpressed by the USA version. As stated above the personalities of the hosts on the UK version are what makes the show, not the cars. I'll keep watching the UK version on the BBC thanks.

I'll keep watching both but I like the BBC version much better... It looks like the american version will have some good challenges though

I love the British version so I didn't have high hopes for this version, the guys weren't even funny or looked like they were even having fun. This version will not last long. I'll just pull up the real BBC Top Gear up on demand like usual!

Very dissappointed, not as funny, and seems very scripted. Would much rather watch BBC version.

I am bummed that it won't include Adam Carolla. But, I'll still check it out since I love the Brit Top Gear.

I was actually bored with the US version...Horrible hosts. I'll stick with BBC! Can't beat it. By far my favorite car show out there!

For the first show, Im impressed. I think its gonna take a few episodes for their personalities to mesh, but all in all, I think it was OK. Surely not going to stop watching the BBC version, as its the best, but Im not going to discount this show yet.

Personally, I think their test track is a little "dirty" for the eye, and could have better camera angles. I dont think they talk enough about the cars. nit pick them, if you will. Im curious to see what they say about up comming rides..

It was alright....It seemed too "scripted" to me if you know what I mean. The BBC one just seems more ad-libed. Rutlegde was a correspondent on Speed for a lot of NASCAR shows, and Adam is a comedian/actor, most notiable on Rescue Me. Definatly going to take some time for them to "gell". I think their Stig is Ken Block??? Looks kinda like his Gymkhana track...of course SoCal all looks the same.

I didn't get to check out the new U.S. version, forgot is was on.

My pre-conceived opinion on the new version is that it won't compare. Top Gear Aussi's attempt isn't the same caliber as the U.K. one. What makes the U.K. one is the cinematography. I haven't seen any motoring show that is even in the same league. Secondly is the U.K. hosts and their personalities. Clarkson and Hammond are awesome. Capt. Slow also compliments them well.

I'll have to check out the U.S. version regardless... but my hopes are not high for it.
