Installed a BM2 and since I have two batteries I wanted to get the right charge voltage, unfortunately when I have the house battery disconnected the starting battery is too high so I am going to rework it to get rid of one diode. and see what the difference is. Cold cranking was not a broblem but when I disconected the house battery I was getting 14.9v on the BM2

 

I Need the default pin code for BM2 Bluetooth, lost connection & dont have the paperwork anymore, and could not find the manual online.

I have tried quite a few common default pin codes but nothin works..starting to think my BM2 may have shit the bed.

She's pooched i guess, that $30 didnt last long..

 

Try to turn of you wifi, what I found is I had to remove the BT connection and then add it through the app. a little flaky to get connected but the 000000 did work after I researched it. was able to get it on a tablet and my replacement phone when I have time but not on my pixel

 

Thanks got it working, i had pretty much given up when i saw your post, ended up unninstalling the app, disconnecting BM2 from battery , deleted bluetooth "login "forget" on my phone, started from scratch badically and its working again.

I used his preset .5V fuse. works perfect, adds .5 =/- .03. I attribute the error to my cheapo meter

 

Ordered one in April... still waiting. A home brew solution is looking tempting..

The voltage booster from the Australian. I've sent him messages, apparently covid shipping restrictions are the culprit, but I've lost faith.

 

Any update on the single diode?

 

i have one of those Voltage boosters from Arc Light if anyone wants to send me duckies... needs to be modded to work on 2nd gens

he put in a trace with kangaroo post on the not tracking number. He's got til the end of the month for it to turn up or I'm getting a refund.

Meanwhile 6a rectifier diodes on Amazon are $5 for a 10pack.

 

I'm betting USPS lost it. Universally awful.

 

That's strange. Assume the seller is responsive to your requests for status? He responded to all my messages within a day or two.

Ditto. My son, a friend of his, and I ordered and received three of them in two separate shipments on two different dates. Both shipments took about a month to arrive.

Single diode is working well seems to vary from 14.5 to 14.02 depending on the state of the battery, temperature, rest voltage is good. seems like my $5 solution worked well and was even able to have a spare. I am sure the other products are good but just did not want to wait and had the parts on hand.

 

Sounds good. I've got an assortment of diodes showing up tomorrow. Gonna do a similar setup but with a twist.

Might have an Australian one for sale, if it ever shows up..
