It is not bad at all. you should not have an issue. I had to wait a couple weeks and I don't think some people ever have it done.

Do it at the dealership via your buddy who helped with the lift. Having a vehicle lift would be great as would access to his air tools and knowledge. The job can go easy or be a royal pain in the ass. Ask me how I know. That said, it is a must do to eliminate the bearing issue.

Thanks all for the suggestions/help. Got an appoint next friday under TSB2516 to get it changed. The dealer said they'd even change it, and suggested I change it to, the ECGS bushing as long as I paid for it. It'll be here Friday.

Great community here, I should have posted long ago.

I recently installed a 3'' and changed the drivers side needle bearing during the process. Its not extremely hard but can test your patience, I would definitely recommend getting the removal tool from ECGS. Worst part for me was getting the CV axle out of the transfer case. I used large flat head screw drivers as pry bars and finally got it to budge. If you have access to a lift that would probably make the job easier, but it can be done in the driveway (my way). If you follow the instructions on the ECGS website you will be able to do it.
