Great news! I had been stalking this thread and am happy to see him back in contact.

Sooo am I the only one who thinks that this scenario is unacceptable?? He goes MIA with thousands of people's dollars for months, decides to re-surface, tells 1 guy his phone number so he can pass it along to all of us... who THEN have to continue to call in the hopes that he finally answers the phone so that we can ask where our money/products are?

You apparently havent talked to Billy. I would suggest you keep trying til you do. If you'd like your stuff you should be glad he's working. Billy isnt making excuses, and he would have rather posted up here than me do it, heck I was hesitant to do it for that very reason. But Billy didnt have access to internet so it was the only way to get you guys anything. The guys that have talked with him have been fairly pleased with the outcome given their response. I hope you are as well.

Spoke with billy today..answered the new number right away and was nothing but apologies..told me his story but I'll let him share it with you guys wen you call..all in all he made a mistake by not keeping contact but he did have some serious obstacles...said he's in the shop every minute every day now burnin through orders and urges everyone who has an order with him to call so he can apologize individually to everyone. He realizes he screwed up but wants to make it right. Overall I'm keeping my order I was told it will be done next week so I'll be back with an update...if you havnt called him yet I recommend doing so good luck yall

Hey everyone,


I gave Billy a call today, but he missed it. He called me back within about a half hour of missing it which was really nice.

I got a chance to catch up with him---probably spoke for a good hour or so.

As people have stated before me, Billy was in a dark place in his life for a little while. He apologized to me in depth, and FULLY ACKNOWLEDGES that he has not handled his end of business correctly in any aspect this past year, and knows he will lose customers because of his actions. He understands the consequences of neglecting such an important list of clients with orders pre-paid and deposits received, and plans on making it right with everyone.

Currently, he's in the process of getting internet installed at his new shop, and he told me as SOON as that is in, the first thing he plans on doing is log onto here and issue everyone an apology and an update on everything.

I can only pass on his sentiments to those of you(like me) who have been a bit frustrated with how's he's handled things but he is deeply sorry and will do everything in his power to make it right with every single one of us who still want our orders fulfilled.

Billy expressed to me to please get his number out to everyone and for everyone to PLEASE call him anytime, and if he misses your call he will call you back before the day ends---if not right away. He's got a lot of catching up to do and orders to knock out which means he can't be at his phone all the time, but he is doing everything to improve communication from here on out.

If you've called into him recently and given him your cell phone number, he plans to send everyone with pending orders a periodic update on their parts---even if there is no change in status just to make sure he lets everyone know he's doing his best to keep communication a lot better with clients.


That said, you can officially remove my name from the list.

Billy has told me his plan, realistically at this point, is to get all orders completed before Christmas. He is burning metal day in/day out from this point on just playing catch up.

Hey guys I had a long conversation with Billy today. He's back up and running. He is fulfilling my order ASAP. I also talked with him for a while about ordering another bumper in the near future. He is a good guy that was thrown a bad situation and I will believe we should all give him a little lee way.

I would say this situation isn't acceptable for a corporation, but you guys all ordered knowing he was a one man show.. Which is why you all ordered from him - you're getting products you can't get anywhere else. The guy made a mistake, shit happens in everyone's lives, I'm sure you've fucked up once or twice before, and weren't berrated for the rest of your existence for it. Forgive and forget, make sure he's building your bumpers, and move on. Consider it the small business version of being back ordered. Ultimately it's up to you, but I think you lose by canceling your order.

 

Thanks for starting this thread. I have been wondering what happened. Got ahold of Billy about an hour ago. Awesome guy. He should have his internet back up tomorrow to start following up with everyone. I knew I was getting it from a guy that was doing all of his own work and that is why I went with him. Looking forward to getting my bumper soon. If you haven't called already please do.

 

Relieved to know Billy is getting back in business. I think I will be stalking him when he gets on here again. LOL...along with Benbacher im sure..

 

Spoke with him today and placed another order .... I'll never look back and stand by my last post here ...

 

I ordered mine in June I believe, three weeks later I got a call from fastenall.
Have loved my hybrid. though I was a little worried cuz it seemed like this guy could just take my money
And run, he kept in contact with me and all the reviews I read on here told me he was very trust worthy.
I hope he follows through with everyone's order cuz I know you will love his product.

 

Talked to Billy last weekend. Next time I talk to him will be for a rear bumper and set of sliders. Helluva guy, too bad he let the business get away but I can't wait to see what he can do with a welder.

 

So glad to hear he's back up and running. It was such a good customer experience when I got my bumpers. Fast and on time. Fastenal needs to improve on their end but it's cheap and not his fault .

I hope he gets back up in running, his welding is some of the best in the industry, thats not a joke. My front bumper will be the last thing to fall apart on my truck.
